We spent a bunch of time in midtown today. And I was hit by the contrast of churches and their surroundings. Hopefully the photos do the concept a bit of justice.

The election is now a few days past. The cover of the Post from election day is on my desk, and I just can not get over this image. Every time I see it, my head shakes, my heart jumps. Amazing! What a day.

We are having a second wind to summer here in NYC. Beautiful walking weather, so we walked from SoHo through Midtown…

Here’s a bit of midtown charm just north of the Flatiron district. And then the 20th century modern Empire poking its head out.

We had unexpectedly sunny, beautiful and warm weather. And took a stroll through the old Village.

A rather typical, yet still stunning brownstone.

Rare to see a New York alley-way that leads to a garden - instead of, well, another alley-way or just garbage.

There are even gardens.
